Purple Martin Energy Facility

The Purple Martin Energy Facility is a proposed 225 megawatt / 900 megawatt-hour energy storage project that will interconnect to an existing high voltage transmission line.

The project will be sited on approximately 74 acres of land in north-west Gloucester County.

Electrical Grid Impact: Enhance the reliability and resiliency of the local electrical grid

Economic Impact: Contribute to the county’s economic development – Purple Martin Energy Facility will make a significant contribution to the county’s tax base through property taxes generated by the project. The project will also include a siting agreement that will benefit the local area and economy

Environmental Impact: The project has no air pollutions emissions and limited noise pollution. After construction, there will be no long-term impact on traffic

Safety

Safety is East Point’s top priority – this project will adhere to all relevant codes and standards for battery energy storage systems consistent with industry standards.  We will coordinate closely with the relevant Fire Departments including the Gloucester Volunteer Fire Department & other mutual aid departments in the surrounding area.
